In my roles as Executive Managing Director for Transformative Development as well as Manager for Multi-Family, the primary goal was to source and develop large-scale, mixed-use development projects within each of the five regions (LA, SF, Seattle, Denver, Portland) to provide Holland greater competitive differentiation, excellent value creation and a stable development pipeline.
After a very competitive RFP process, Holland was awarded the highly coveted Evans School site, a three-parcel assemblage in the center of the civic and cultural heart of downtown Denver. The project is a unique opportunity to develop an urban community of approximately 1,000 units in the Golden Triangle Arts District, one of Denver’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods and home to some of Colorado’s most iconic arts and civic institutions.
The development plan is to re-purpose the site’s existing surface parking and create an urban community centered around the historic Evans School. The new urban enclave will be a collection of four high-rise towers with the historic school serving as the main amenity and neighborhood hub. The re-use plan for the three-story school includes food-oriented retail, co-working office space and a leasing/sales center.
